Our beginner 5k program is perfect for U!
Our 5k program has a Spring and Fall semester lasting 12 weeks. Participants can expect guest speakers from local fitness studios and gyms, other athletes who want to share their passion for fitness, and motivational go-getters in the Tucson community (and beyond!) who love talking about fitness!
This is truly a unique experience in beginner fitness programs!
Additionally, our coaches will give you important tips and advice in our four running clinics. From “What is proper running form?” to “Safety on the road!” (and more!), our clinics will make sure you have everything you need to help you stay consistent, safe, and moving forward!
We even throw in a few excursions in our interactive program to keep things light and fun. This may include the popular “DU Challenge!” photo-scavenger hunt, a semester end party at the Running Shop (our #1 sponsor), or meeting and working out with our goal-group: The Workout Group!

TUESDAYS @ Udall Park: 5:30PM. We’ve teamed up with Beat Cancer Boot Camp at this location to offer you a strength workout followed by a cardio workout (for beginners!!)
WEDNESDAYS @ Riverfront Park in Oro Valley: 6pm
THURSDAYS @ Reid Park: 6pm.
